Love from a Mom and Dad

In this series, I wanted to try to capture those split-second bonds that a parent feel when they look deep into their child’s eyes.

Sophia’s eyes lit up every time her parents were in her peripheral vision, she’s turn to them and her smile would break free over and over again. In this series, I captured the warm, love that each of us as children desire of their parents throughout their our entire lives.

All Art is Erotic

One of my favourite artists, Gustav Klimt, once said that “All Art is Erotic”. Have you ever had a photograph or two that really inspired you to test out your own abilities? A few weeks back I saw an image where an artist made different foods resemble “reproduction”. I wanted to try my own skills using an apple.

For this shot, I used a telephoto lens combined with three Kenko macro tubes. For lighting, I placed a flash behind the subject to achieve the backlit glow.

Tiffany Setting Classic Engagement Ring

This is a photograph of a Tiffany & Co. engagement ring in the Tiffany Setting. I used a set of Kenko macro tubes so that I could see the detail of the diamond in close range. The green surface the ring rests on is the Tiffany & Co. leather pouch that came with the ring.

We tried composing the shot without the black in the background, but found it added to the quiet structure of the image. I feel it created an element of infinite horizon.

Opening Night at the Show

Ever been a fan of looking through your Grandma’s old photo album and just admiring the look and feel of each print? A friend of mine took part in a local theatre performance in St. Jacobs, Ontario called A DOLLAR. I brought along a camera to do some portraits of her.

After the play was done, went out for some deserts and coffee. I shot these images while she was still in full character makeup and costume from the set. The addition of the antique processng set the stage for the romantic portrait series.
