Country Vintage Kitchen

Sometimes a kitchen just is a place for food preparation. In the case of my country kitchen however, every time I am cooking up a meal or clean up some dishes, I just feel happy. Many chefs say that when they are in their kitchen, they feel whole. Though I am not a chef by trade, I like to think I can cook up tasty foods myself and can relate to this feeling. The dirt and grime is left on purpose in this shot for added character.

Tonight, while practicing with some lighting and composition layouts, we decided to document my beloved kitchen. With the help of Steve’s layout design and post-processing tricks, we were able to come up with this moody shot. Bon Appetite!

Forged Cutlery Knives for all Purposes

Forged knives undergo a treatment process to enhance the flexibility, density, and hardness of the knife. Forged knives tend to be heavier than stamped knives but are much better balanced. Forged knives are hand made through a process of extreme heat and hand moulding. The tang of the knife merges into the handle and is typically secured by three rivets.

The following images were shot for stock photography purposes. Pictured here in the following order from top to bottom: Bread Knife, Chef’s Knife, Santoku Knife, Boning Knife, Utility Knife, Paring Knife, Petite Paring Knife. The knives are all available from Pampered Chef’s website.
