Ice Tracks at the Humber River, Toronto

While walking down by the Humber River in West Toronto, I came across these unique animal foot prints captured in the ice. The Humber River is one of two major rivers on either side of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the other being the Don River to the east. The Humber collects from about 750 creeks and tributaries in a fan-shaped area north of the city.

Designing Personality with Organic Art

According to their website, “Moleskine is a brand that identifies a family of notebooks, diaries, and city guides: flexible and brilliantly simple tools for use both in everyday and extraordinary circumstances, ultimately becoming an integral part of one’s personality”.

After buying this book, I decided to use some of the art principles I had been reading about to design a custom cover to reflect MY personality! I used a silver paint pen for the designs. Unfortunately after spraying a clear coat laquer finish on the finished work, a chemical reaction took place and this particular book cover design was destroyed…

Customized Organic Art Chrome Bag

I purchased a sling pack from Chrome Bags back in November of 2008. They claim to “build their bags, shoes, and apparel to last using the toughest materials they can find”. Toronto has become a common spotĀ for wearing the packs, which is why customizing the bag was rather appealing!

This particular model is called the Mini Metro in the rare pink and grey colour style. I’d give this bag GREAT reviews! My fiancee inspired me to customize the bag using my organic art patterning skills on the internal pocket. I took a crack at his suggestion and here is what I came up with…

Daddy’s Girl at 4 Days Old

A good friend of mine gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last November 2008. Within four days of her arriving into the world, I went over for an evening visit with the camera.

Alia fit into her Daddy’s hand perfectly, prompting for lots of photographs. I was limited to lighting and depended on the on-camera flash because of the sensitivity on Alia’s eyes at the time.

Panorama of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto

According to their website, the “Air Canada Centre is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and is easily accessible by foot, car or public transit”.

Back in November of 2008, I was invited to sit in the one of the box seats at the Air Canada Centre for a game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers. I decided to bring along a camera and try my skills at a panoramic of the entire view of the game from the box seat.
