I’ve always been a fan of doodling in notebooks. At age 18 during my final years of high school art classes in 2002, I participated in a final year exhibition where I decided I would take my doodling to the next level. Each student was tasked to create 5 art pieces, each one of which would evolve from the previous.

Below you can see a series of the pieces that I had on display during the show. The pieces were created using Henna inspired patterning with India Inks and mixed media. In September of 2010, some of these pieces will be shown in an exhibition called Artful Henna at the Art/Not Terminal Gallery in Seattle Washington.

Unfortunately I had sold off a few works back in 2003 prior to taking proper photos of them. I have attached some mock-ups of friends who posed for me when creating the layouts.
